RE Mentor

2001 – 2023

I started RE Mentor in 2001.

The idea wasn't complicated. I had figured out how to buy apartment buildings — badly at first, then well — and there was no shortage of people who wanted to do the same thing and had nobody to show them how. I'd been that person. I remembered what it felt like.

We ran it for twenty-two years. Boot camps, mentorship, Ultimate Partnering, the Deal Lab. Thousands of people came through it, and a lot of them bought their first building.

Some of them bought their fiftieth.

I closed the education company in 2023.

What Came Out Of It

The part I'm proudest of isn't the size of it. It's that the stories are real, and the people are willing to put their names on them.

Where I Am Now

I still buy apartments. I still write. And after I retired from the teaching company, I came back to write one more book — because I didn't like what AI was going to do to the people I'd spent two decades teaching.
